2012 IACAC Fall Congress Volunteer Information


The goal of the 2012 IACAC Fall Congress is to provide members of IACAC with opportunities for professional development and the ability to network with colleagues. You are invited and encouraged to submit a proposal to serve as a presenter at the conference. Please see the link below for the sessional proposal form!

Dorothy Cheesman Distinguished Service Award

The Dorothy Cheesman Distinguished Service Award is given annually by the Indiana Association of College Admission Counseling to a member who has distinguished him or herself by exemplary service to students in their search for post-secondary education.  Dorothy Cheesman Award winners must have a minimum of five years of significant membership experience as a committee member, a committee chairperson, or an officer in IACAC or NACAC.

Award winners must be nominated by peers. Members of the IACAC Nominating Committee, chaired by IACAC Past-President, will determine the award winner after reviewing all nominations.

Leticia Campodonico Human Relations Award

The IACAC Human Relations Committee is seeking nominations for the Leticia Campodonico Human Relations Award to be presented at the annual IACAC Fall Congress. This award is presented to an individual who has encouraged and supported traditionally under represented students in the transition from high school to college.

Some previous recipients of the award have been Dexter Jordan (Rose-Hulman), Barbara Kjeldsen (Kokomo HS), Kimberly Stewart-Brinston (IUPUI), Mona Bowe (Saint Mary's College), Velma Wade (Ivy Tech Community College), Walter Blake (Wabash College), Larry Gonzalez (Indiana University), Janet Huck (Manual High School), Carolyn Upshaw (Lawrence North), Roger Blalock (Purdue University), Dr. David Davis (Ball State University), and Leticia Campodonico (Ivy Tech State College, Indianapolis)
Award winners must be nominated by peers. Members of the IACAC Nominating Committee, chaired by IACAC Human Relations Committee, will determine the award winner after reviewing all nominations.
